We recently presented ourwinning competition entry for the Birr Demesne pedestrian entrance to thestakeholders against the stunning backdrop of Birr Castle. This project is acollaborative effort between Lord and Lady Rosse, the Oxmantown Settlement Trust, the Birr Scientificand Heritage Foundation and Offaly County Council.

Our design is for a new, discreteportal, using timeless, traditional materials worked in a wholly contemporarymanner to create a simple, yet highly distinctive entrance to the demesne, atthe end of The Green.

We reallyenjoyed the opportunity to present our proposal in person, in the beautiful castlegrounds, and we are looking forward to sharing the finaldesign with the wider public when we submit the planning application later thisyear.
