Low-rise high-density homes in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

A new neighbourhood on a complex suburban site that contains two protected structures and a public thoroughfare, adjacent to an Architectural Conservation Area. A link road is transformed into a vibrant new street, with a strong sylvan character and tacit surveillance. A contemporary architectural language sits comfortably alongside the typical period streets and textures of Dun Laoghaire.

The project responds to the challenge of providing low-rise high-density housing on a long narrow site. An innovative approach to private open space, distributed across three levels is proposed on terraced houses, while 8 duplex apartments with high-quality outdoor spaces are also provided.
